There are many types of braces, and we are proud to offer three kinds at Orthodontic Associates of New England, which include:
- Metal Braces: Metal brackets are glued to the surfaces of your teeth and those brackets are connected by metal wires. These wires apply pressure onto the brackets to gradually move the teeth into the desired positions.
- Clear Braces: Clear braces are made of composite materials, which are tooth-colored. Lighter bands, wires, and brackets are used to blend closely with your teeth to refrain from causing a distraction. These clear braces also apply pressure to the teeth to gradually shift them throughout time.
- Invisalign®: Invisalign® is a plastic, clear retainer that covers the entire visible portions of your teeth and gradually moves your teeth throughout time. You will go through a series of aligning trays that are molded in the shape of your teeth. This is a virtually invisible product that is removable.
